They say it's better late than never. Other brands have been rolling out software updates to add the VoWiFi feature to their smartphones for a while now. ASUS however didn't even roll out the feature to any of their devices till now. Finally, their 2019 flagship, ASUS 6Z (globally known as Zenfone 6) received an update today adding VoWiFi support for Reliance Jio users.
The update also brings a couple of other improvements on the table. The security patch has been updated to March 1, the device will now ask for confirmation if a 3rd party app wants access to the Front Camera in background and the the System Stability has been improved as well.
The new firmware version is 17.1810.2003.144 and it is approximately 94.33 MB in size. ASUS does roll out these updates in batches so, if you're not getting the update just yet, you should receive it within a couple of days. Currently there is no word on when they'll roll out VoWiFi support for other carriers like Airtel & Vodafone. However, in case there is any news or confirmation, we'll update you on the website.
