More than two years after adding Dolby Vision support, Disney+ Hotstar has now also introduced Dolby Atmos support to the platform. Atmos will enable Spatial Audio across a wide range of devices including Smartphones, Smart TVs, Soundbars, and AVRs.

If your smartphone supports Dolby Atmos, you should see the option listed under supported shows and movies. Right now, the Hotstar Originals show "Aarya" and the Multiplex movie "Cadaver" have started streaming in Dolby Atmos. But, other Originals including "Special Ops 1.5", "Masoom", "Out of Love", "Shoorveer", and "Vikram" will also stream with Atmos audio soon.
There's no doubt that most of the future Hotstar content will stream in Dolby Atmos and considering Disney produces its original shows and movies in Atmos as well, perhaps we will be seeing the same for Disney+ content very soon.
Update: Dolby Atmos is now widely available across Hotstar and Disney+ original content.
